If your TELSTAR tire becomes unserviceable as a result of
a defect in workmanship or material during the first 1/32”
of tread wear, it will be replaced with an equivalent TELSTAR
tire, FREE OF CHARGE. When the tread is worn more than 1/32”,
a replacement charge will be required to obtain a replacement
tire.
The replacement charge will be determined by multiplying
your original purchase price by the percentage of original
tread depth worn from the tire. You must pay for mounting,
balancing and any other additional charges, such as
taxes or the acceptance of a higher priced replacement
tire.
If your TELSTAR Echelon Premier tire becomes unserviceable
as a result of a defect in workmanship or material during
the first 50% of tread wear, or your Turbostar H/T tire
becomes unserviceable as a result of a defect in workmanship
or material during the first 25% of tread wear, it will
be replaced with an equivalent new TELSTAR tire FREE
OF CHARGE. You must present your MILEAGE PLUS WARRANTY
BROCHURE and be the original owner when requesting a
replacement for your TELSTAR tire. Otherwise, you will
be required to pay the replacement charge described
in the above standard coverage in order to obtain your
replacement tire.
The following TELSTAR radial tires are warranted against tread
wear out prior to the applicable indicated mileage:

Provided that you:
1. Are the original owner
2. Rotate your tires every 8,000 miles and it is recorded
in the rotation schedule in the mileage brochure.
3. Present the tire for adjustment.
4. Present your Mileage Plus Warranty Brochure when requesting
an adjustment and the Date of Purchase, Car Make, Model, Odometer
Reading, and Rotation Record are properly recorded.
If the tire wears to the tread wear indicators in less than
the miles warranted within the warranty period, a pro-rated
adjustment will be made according to actual mileage delivered.
Your replacement cost will be determined by dividing the actual
mileage delivered by the miles warranted and multiplying the
result times the current selling price of an equivalent or
comparable replacement tire. You must pay for mounting and
balancing and any other additional charges, such as taxes
or the acceptance of a higher priced replacement tire.
When the tread becomes worn to 2/32” (shown by tread
wear indicators molded into the tread grooves), the tire is
worn out. |
Tires which become unserviceable due to:
1. Conditions resulting from road hazards such as (a) cuts,
(B) snags, or (C) punctures.
2. Conditions resulting from (A) improper installation, (B)
wheel misalignment, or (C) tire-wheel assembly imbalance.
3. Conditions resulting from (A) improper tire and vehicle
maintenance, (B) misuse, (C) abuse, (D) accident.
4. Ride complaints after the first 2/32” tread wear.
5. Use in any commercial application.
6. Ozone or weather checking on tires over four (4) years
from date of manufacture.
OR
Tires which are:
1. Installed on any vehicle other than the vehicle on which
it was first installed.
2. Sold or adjusted outside of the 48 contiguous Continental
United States and the District of Columbia.
3. Branded “NON-ADJ” (Non-Adjustable) Tires branded
“BLEMISH”, “MALWEAR”, OR “NON-UNIF”
(non Uniform) are not covered under the TELSTAR Mileage Plus
Limited Warranty provided herein.
If you receive a replacement tire under the terms of this
warranty, the replacement tire will be covered by the Warranty
then currently given by TELSTAR for the tire.
If a tire which is subject to this warranty becomes unserviceable,
you should take the tire back to the dealer where you bought
it. Should this, for any reason, not be possible, you may
take it to the nearest TELSTAR dealer. Please consult telephone
directory for locations. It is your obligation to present
unserviceable tire to the dealer.
Any tire, no matter how well constructed, may fail in service
or otherwise become unserviceable due to conditions beyond
the control of the manufacturer. Nothing in this Warranty
is intended to be a representation by TELSTAR that tire failure
cannot occur.
TELSTAR DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Some states do not
allow exclusion of incidental or consequential damages so
this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may
also have other rights which vary from state to state.
When making a claim, you must return the tire to be replaced
to your TELSTAR dealer and sign the customer signature section
of the TELSTAR Tire Claim Form.
Proper vehicle and tire care is necessary to obtain the expected
wear from a tire. It is your obligation to properly maintain
your tires and the vehicle upon which they are mounted including:
(A) operating your tires at the inflation pressures recommended
by the vehicle manufacturer, (B) keeping your tire/wheel assemblies
in balance, and (C) proper wheel alignment.
We recommend that you have your TELSTAR dealer inspect your
tires any time you notice irregular or uneven tread wear and
rotate them if necessary.
